Halftrack

Bio is a rough first pass to get some thoughts down on his background and such. I need to rework it, as the first part doesn't really support the character hook well and it's missing a critical element. Specifically, that he's opted for a "retro" representation from WWII to try and serve as a symbol to the public of what we have lost... Specifically the common national unity and sense of pride that we felt in that era. A reminder that what was, can be again, particularly in these troubled times. I need to do some edits to get it condensed to capture that, as the character limit for the field really enforces brevity.

I like the backstory, and your underpinning explaination on the blog makes it all that much better to me. Edits are always good and I hate the in-game limits on text just as much as you do, but you haven't lost your touch! I really like that it deals more with the feeling of the era, lost, rather them him just being a warmongering pinhead you might see in other similarly clad PCs. Good show!

Got a chance to build up a second costume, which looks good (at least I think so). Also, I had a chance to fine-tune the backstory with a series of sequential efforts to trim and truncate the story to fit within the 1024 character limit. I had to make some hard choices to get both his origin and the "hook" for the character into the writeup, but I think the end product is pretty decent. I'll grab some screenshots tonight.

He's level 18 now, and thanks to some marketeering (no twinking from stuff at the base or other characters), he's got about 12M in the bank and is fully outfitted with IOs. All positional Defense values are just about 32.5% right now, which is great. With a small purple inspiration, I can soft-cap with some margin. I carry a tray of them for missions on teams and refresh them between missions. The end result is he really makes some of the other Tanks on his teams look squishy, which is fine by me. His aggro capabilities are very good and I'm looking forward to watching his build develop.
