LOL!

Years ago I wrote a one-act play of extremely little note called Ten Dollar Words. Eric was in it!

Anyway, we put the thing up twice in this little, hole in the wall freebie type theatre in NYC. The first time I was away on tour. The second time, I wanted to be in it. I wanted to play my own lead.

It wasn't very deep. A small comedy about a woman struggling in her relationship with her man specifically because he was super smart and, at least academically, because made good on all the fantasies most guys just yap about as if they were true.

Well, during the height of the woman's anger over the issue, when she is going on about all the examples that make him abnormal, she has a good line. I'm paraphrasing, but basically she grabs a piece of paper from his desk and screams something like, "And this! This! This is a flowchart depicting how elves and trolls might think!"

In the second production of the piece, when I got to be my own lead (and subsequently found out that my roommate from the first show was a better me than me), the entire company (five others), got a great laugh from the fact that I went ahead and made a flowchart loosely depicting the psyches of the two species. After all, the prop had to be authentic!

This flowchart reminds me of that one.
