I played with some of the costume options, but all of them (including a shoulder cape, etc.) looked too "tech" or "modern" for the character look. I even went with the rough leather pants in a black with brown/olive sewn to get away from just fur (too cliche) to tights (too hero) to armored (just didn't fit).
I plan on developing it more as I open up costume slots. Idea is that his costume will change/adapt with additional exposure to the mortal plane...

Updated with additional screenshots including character background.
Lovin' the name. Lovin'the concept/background, especially tying it all in with what we already know. I'm particularly fond of the last line of the character description. Skin tone is a beaut'. As for the cliché look, I'd keep the skin and the hooves and the horns, etc. and maybe just add one tell-tale accessory somewhere. It may or may not replace the chains, which I also like. I feel there just needs to be some one thing to modernize the look. Otherwise, Dante or no, this guy looks straight out of the Manual of the Planes. A modern component, just a small suggestive addition somewhere, might embed the toon more in CoV.
