DB/SR Scrapper: Naga Teot

Just like every other damned person online last night, I went in and created a dual-blade Scrapper. Rather than trying the Willpower set though, I went with Super-Reflexes, as it fit the character concept. Overall, the animations for the new set are exceptionally smooth and well-choreographed. The power selections I picked are also QUICK. The starting attack, unenhanced, recharges slightly slower than Brawl. That's fast. The new chained attack power combos look interesting as well, although since I'm only Level 2, I don't have the full 3-set combo yet. Very nice overall.

OK, Naga is level 7 now after last night and some quiet time during Mary's nap. I've got the Weaken combo slotted out and it's interesting. The finishing move in the combo is a PbAoE. That means the Weaken effect applies to everything the PbAoE hits. It applies about a 10% accuracy debuff and a 10% defense debuff. Coupled with the Super Reflexes secondary, this helps immensely. At L7, all three attacks composing the Weaken combo chain (1st, 3rd, and 4th) are 3-slotted with Accuracy TO's (all L10's). That gives about a +26% chance to hit with each attack. Given that each attack has to hit in sequence to produce the combo effect, accuracy is key.

Also, the veteran reward power Sands of Mu has a built-in accuracy debuff as well. Coupled with the 2cd combo attack's Defense debuff (similar to the one Broadsword and Katana produces), you can drop the opponents defense and then lay on Sands of Mu. With their defense dropped, the unenhancable to-hit on Sands hits a lot more reliably.

At L7, the build is pretty survivable. With combo effects in place, I'm taking on groups of 4-6 even con enemies with up to 2 lieutenants per group and surviving. I do go through inspirations, but not at an inordinate rate.

Overall, very interesting. I can see possibilities.
