Out of the wilds of urban New Hampshire comes the hard-rocking hero of the new millennium. With Scorpions and Metallica blasting from the rolled-down windows of his packed Gremlin, the Radon Rocker is here to show Paragon City what a little Old School Detroit Rock City can do...
His battle cry? "Time to rock out w my sock out!"

Radon is a hair under level 20 right now, and I'm investing in IO sets to flesh out his powers. Most of the good sets are open now, so I'm focusing on the ones that improve his "control" powers (immobilize, to-hit debuff, defense debuff, holds, stuns, etc.) This is in lieu of working his damage, since his damage is pretty anemic no matter what.
In the large-team Controller role, damage is really the purpose of the other characters. His role is to lock down spawns and take them out of the fight with soft/hard control powers. I'm trying to focus on that now with some of the enhancement slotting... We'll see how it pans out
Hit Level 22 last night. Amy's been quilting up a storm lately, so I was able to get online last night and team with some other heroes in Talos. Teams seem to be getting harder to build for some reason, in particular, finding Tanks for teams. That AT is probably the most scarce after the Kheldians. There are easily 2-3X as many Blasters and Scrappers as there are Tanks.
Level 25 IOs have opened up, so common IOs are being refreshed.
I also created an Empathy/Radiation Blast Defender on Freedom. The two new players in our SG created new characters over there to let the wife of the pair try a Tank. Apparently, Courtney said that his wife was so impressed with Peltier Justice the other night that she wanted to try a Tank as well. She created an Invulnerability/Energy Melee Tank and Courtney created an Assault Rifle/Devices Blaster to help her out. An Emp/Rad Defender seemed a good choice to help them out, since the Primary is very effective at lower levels and the Radiation Blast secondary Debuffs Defense, making it easier for her to hit things. So far it worked OK, and I've been giving her some basic coaching on how the Tank powersets work, like what Temporary Invulnerability is, what a toggle does, the difference between Resistance and Defense, etc. She's eager to learn, but has very little experience. Luckily I have a pretty firm grasp of the mechanics and have played both her Primary and Secondary to their tier 9 powers.
Should be fun, as I like bombing around on lowbies, and helping someone discover the joys of Tanking is always rewarding.
